Bread on FIRE!!!!!

I really debated on whether or not to even post about this.  Then I had a dear friend comment how I was a Super Mom, but not in a good way.  What I had accomplished in that afternoon while she was visiting, had in turn, made her feel badly about herself.  As we visited I had cleaned my kitchen, started my bread, and started my dinner prep for later.  I NEVER want her or any of my readers, for that matter, to think I am in any way a domestic goddess.  You see what I want you to see.  You see that which is in the frame of my camera, not what I have pushed out of the way, or wiped away.

To finish the story, I said goodbye to my friend and went back to my kitchen to place the now risen bread into the oven.  As I placed the first loaf I thought to myself, "wow, my bread must have really risen alot, it almost touches the top burner.  Hmmm, I wonder why, it didn't look that high.  Someone wouldn't have moved my racks on me."  and quickly dismissed the thought.  I then proceeded to place the other three loaves in their proper places, shut the oven door, and turned on the timer.  I sat down at the kitchen table to pull up a recipe on my laptop when just a few moments later I notice SMOKE ROLLING OUT OF THE TOP VENT TO MY OVEN!!!

"MY BREAD!!!!"  I sprang up and ran to the oven, just in time to see the tops of ALL FOUR of my precious loaves lit like a candle.

"FIRE!"  I began yelling.  "FIRE!   FIRE!"  Like my kids, who were sitting and watching a movie in the livingroom where gonna do something about it.  lol

They all jumped up and ran to the kitchen, just in time to see Mom blowing out my bread.  They of course all started laughing at the halarious sight I made.

So for all of those who think they can't do what I do?  Ummm, Even YOU can burn your bread. LOL

BTW, after relaying this story to my husband, he chuckled as he reminded me he had made dinner a couple nights back AND HE had moved the oven rack. LOL

Blessing Guys!
